About Me
I became a therapist because I discovered my genuine interest in learning about others and helping others live a more fulfilling and meaningful life when I was an undergraduate student at Gonzaga University. Through personal experiences and struggles of my own, I uncovered my natural caregiving abilities and drive to share coping strategies and tools I have learned along the way. I completed my Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling at Gonzaga University in 2015 and have since committed my life to helping others uncover their unique capabilities and strengths.
My training as a marriage and family therapist allows me to utilize a wide range of skills while viewing your experiences in a systemic way, focusing primarily on the effects of relationships in your life. I continue to study within the specific area of sex therapy. I am a current member of AAMFT (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy) and attend a multitude of sex therapy conferences through different organizations which provide me with a wealth of resources to keep me up to date on the latest research and techniques.
I was inspired to embark on this therapeutic journey by my initial work as a certified yoga instructor. I have studied yoga for many years and completed my 200-hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) Training at Lila Yoga in Spokane, WA. My personal experience with yoga has been one of emotional and physical discovery. I have a great understanding of how our emotional experiences manifest within our physical bodies. Through different yoga techniques, I can help you explore what kinds of stresses are being stored within the body and how to release them.
